Dade Paper Company
Dade Paper & Bag Company was founded in 1939 by Irving Genet and his father Harry Genet in Miami, Florida. Miami was a growing city in that era with many new businesses opening including hotels, restaurants and retail operations. Irving and Harry believed that a paper and packaging supply business would hold solid opportunities for a new enterprise.
Irving was the company’s first salesperson, calling on businesses up and down Miami Avenue in the new bustling downtown area. His first sale was one case of toilet tissue. Hard work and a commitment to excellent customer service provided Dade Paper & Bag, now DadePaper, the platform to develop a good base of business in South Florida.
