Did you attend Art Papers 13th Annual Art Auction, February 10th and 11th, 2012 at Mason Murer Art Gallery? If not...we look forward to seeing you there next year!
Each year, ART PAPERS Magazine hosts the two-day silent art auction featuring eclectic works from more than 250 famed and upcoming global artist. Accompanying the visual stimulation, attendees were swooned by complimentary hors d'oeuvres and desserts prepared by some of Atlanta's finest restaurants: Escorpion, Fritti, Sotto Sotto, Sound Table, Sugar Coated Radical, Sundial Restaurant, Bar & View, TOP FLR, and U Restaurants (just to name a few). The city of Atlanta raved about the event before and after. Magazines such as The Atlantan and Fenuxe ran boasting articles on the event and its success. Atlanta INTown called the event an "romantic gesture". The Art Auction was a great mixture of art, music, food, and sustainability. This year, ART PAPERS placed a significant emphasis on the importance of hosting not only a "GREEN" event, but expanding on their sustainable efforts of 2011. By way of ReMix Recycling's Event Recycling services, ART PAPERS was successful in developing a sustainable mission statement, exploring alternative food and beverage plate-ware/cutlery and diverting additional waste brought in by artwork shipping and packaging . Overall, ART PAPERS was successful in diverting 1,133.10 lbs of waste from a Georgia landfill and looks forward to collaborating with ReMix Recycling again to further enhance the effort of 2013.
